(G) Steering column play

Hi, I've got play at the steering wheel, suspect it's the top column bush.
Has anyone else had this?
Has anyone changed it themselves?
Was it a pain in the rs?
As the stalks are different between the early cinqs and late cinqs (mine being a late one with the sei stalks) are the columns the same? (this being because I have an early column with no play in it)
Any help/advice muchly appreciated.
