(G) *** sticky clutch every so often on 899 SX ***

Hey Guys, wondering if anyone could help me with my clutch...

Every so often my clutch feels very stiff n sticky, which makes it very hard to set of; I even stall my car sometimes due to this problem, which is very embarrassing. It starts and stops from time to time, starts for about 1 week then my clutch gradually gets smoother until I cant feel it any more then about 2 to 3 weeks later it start again? I’ve been told it could be that I need a new clutch cable, but I’m not 100% sure that this is what it is?

Could well be the cable.
A new one doesn't cost much and is easy to fit yourself (there is a great guide in the "Guides" section.

Changed mine last week. I didn't realise how stiff it had got until the new cable was on, it is so light now!

Also lubricate all the pivots on the meccano set under the dash, and also the bushes where the arm turns in the bellhousing.
