website link..

a while ago on this forum somebody posted a site which was a bit like the parkers guide, it had the new seicento on it. its not this im after, id just like some info on a mk4 polo (i think) as this tosser at work seems to think a 1.0l polo is going to win my cinq sporting.. but ive been told VW are powerful.. and quicker, i dont believe this and i dont plan on racing anyway but id like to find out just how few horses (i hope) it has to wind him up.. moron he is! i cant find information on the mk4 anywhere so id like to try this site..

cheers!

well ur cinq sporting should beat a 1.0 polo. cinqs are smaller and lighter and plus it has a bigger engine and so should be able to beat it.

Seem to remember 1.0 polo having 40bhp and taking 19.odd seconds to 60. Not a quick car. Even an 899 will take it.

Moi? - Aye I remember its on honest-john. One word of warning, don't go in the forums if you car is modded :-D

Right information for ya

Polo Vs Cinq

Polo 1.0 50bhp = 0-62 in 17.9secs
Cinq Sporting 1.1 54bhp = 0-62 in 13.4secs

Still Cinq can be more quicker with mods etc, but take the weight out to make it faster :D

Car-by-car breakdown on the left:
http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/index.php?url=/carbycar/index.htm

The 1 litre mk4 polo ~ Full Breakdown here:
http://www.parkers.co.uk/choosing/tech_data/index.aspx?range_id=450

There again, you could say that a C2 GT can get to 0-62 in 9.3 seconds... drools.

Hope that helps.

Cadamuro Rear Spoiler

Scrapped 1.2 Punto

Is it just me, or should we expect better than 9.3 secs to 60 for a small car with a GT badge?

I know, this C2 GT with 9.3 seconds or 9.5 IIRC - and its a 1.6 engine. However Citroen wants to release a C2 VTS with a 1.8. However remember the C2 looks bigger and it heavy as well. Its all down to weight

Stick in a powerful engine into a cinq/sei and will it outpace any of the saxo club? Pete this is best question for you :) as you have a turbo.

How, back to wondeful life of my 899.
