A Question Of Insurance

My current insurer, Swinton, do not accept any modifications. So I have tried another few companies and they all don't insure people under 21. My question is, who insures everyone else on here with mods?

Also, my insurance policy runs until September. Would I be penalised for moving it elsewhere so I could be covered for mods?

Thanks in advance,
Sie

Oh have fun with this one. I have speant the last two weeks trying to get insured on my newly purchased Sei Sporting. Its lowered and has a 1242 conversion, plus i am 18 so most companies won't touch me with a barge pole (Who's got a barge pole i hear your cry)
Anywhoo the only place i got a resonable quote from is CIS. If you've got mods ring these places up, dont bother with the online quotation, its pants.
But if your lucky enough to be over 19 then you may be able to get a good quote from HIC. 08451-290-290. Theres a few people on here who have insurance with them. If you move your policy now or before it expires i guess that you will loose a years NCB, which is prolly not an economicaly sound idea.

Can you give me their number, please? It's not a good idea for me to lose the NCB but it means I have to take off my induction kit until sept[V]:(

HIC was more expensive when i looked around for insurance. Im with tescos, they insured me with all mods declared on my cinq. Some mods are listed on a separate comments sheet and will not be on your actual policy. I asked for this comments sheet to be sent to me, which cost me 10 pounds, but gave me the security that if anything did happen to my car, that i could proove all my mods were declared to them.

My insurance is currently 500 per year fully comp, all mods declared, like for like replacement.

I've requested a quote from Adrian Flux. I'll look into it all in more detail in August when it comes closer to my renewal date. For now I'll have to make do with the original airbox. Maybe crack out the GSR on special occasions;)

OK, just given Tesco a call (received a mailing from them this morning and also thanks to hippycinq) and they've given me a great quote. Great customer service rep I spoke to too. When renewal comes round, I'll give them another call:D

Try chester insurance services in tarporley. 01829 733866. My cinq abarth is insured with them on a norwich union policy. It cost me an extra £250 for my 21 yr old daughter to go on my policy.

Re: A Question Of Insurance

the cinq is now insured, never heard of the company but did me a great deal

£224.90

asked how much it would be to add bigger alloys and brakes and they said nothing

0871 226 2699 - max insurance, give them a try
