I am expecting my new sportex oval backbox tomorrow,what do they sound like? do they sound good when ticking over?

If its for a cinq they are loud as hell especially on motorway and a few members have flogged them because they are a bit unbearable.

If its for a sei its a bit more subtle

its for an 899sx cinq will it sound louder or quieter than a 1108 sporting with the same backbox?

lol ive took the old backbox off and the car sounds loud but nice lol

They actually sound nice from the outside but i found it unbearable inside at motorway speeds in my sporting (not doing a good sales job here as I am looking to sell one!)

Very loud inside, nice, but not very loud, outside. I dunno how they manage to do that. Anyone any sound deadening tips?

Could be. I think there's room to lengthen the pipe a little or maybe weld a skid plate on from the front of the box to the pipe. Not sure how much these would change the frequency, though.

or if it's what's generating the resonance.. a slightly 'wrong' aperture of something might also cause this sound and that'd be harder to solve... I can't think what though in an exhaust. Anyone wana try?

got my exhaust on today and i must say even an amateur could fit it,it took me a whole TEN MINS! its really easy

and it sounds the nuts
