| custodian of imola blue | Re: seicento driveshaft oilseal S,SX or Sporting? Seems as though we're messing about, but there are at least 2 different 1108 gearboxes. The Sporting box has very obvious oilseal in an alloy mounting which is held onto the gearbox casting by 4 bolts. The S and SX oilseal is very much less obvious and not at all well documented: I guess it resides in the differential casting itself. If the latter is your box, best bet (unless someone else pipes up) is to visit your local FIAT dealer with your chassis number and an explanation of the problem. If you do have an oil leak, keep the gearbox oil topped up religiously until you get it fixed: a gearbox with inadequate oil will destroy itself in less than 50 miles.
