| punto rocker cover I've just accquired a punto 60 s "great little car" but I've got a slight problem with oil seeping from the rocker cover gasket.I don't want to over tighten them so can anybody tell me the correct torque wrench settings please. this would be very much appreciated;)

| I don't think there are any set torque settings for this, just tighten them as much as poss before you think they might snap. The oil leak is a typical problem with the FIRE engine's you might want to buy a tube of liquid gasket and replace the lot on there you have. Takes about 1 hour to do and is easy peasy lemon squeezy "The Not so Fast but Furious"

| er, don't overtighten them - it won't do any good. The gasket is in a recess in the cover and the bolts don't need to be that tight, you get metal to metal contact between cover and head anyway as the gasket compresses into the space. Dead right about the gasket goo, mine doesn't leak at all now with a new gasket/sealant. Pete. Cinq sporting 1242cc http://mysite.freeserve.com/close_to_cracking_up/

Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: (0) | Yeah my Cinque done that i jus bought a new oil sealent from fiat 4 £4.15 took me les than an hour 2 fit solved it. I kno the torque settinbg in the 1.1 cinq is 8Nm or 6lb/ft my Torque wrnch didn't go that far down tho [V] so i jus done it be feel ;)
