Re: sporting cylinder head

The 55 head may fit (depends on whether the engines are spi or mpi): it's not so much an issue of the head, but of the inlet manifold.

But use the sporting head as you'll need to do a light skim on the punto one anyway.

How much it'll cost depends very much on your machinist. Somewhere in the ballpark of £25 - £50.

The head uses stretch bolts, so you need an angle guage. Best bet is the Haynes Cinq manual or the factory-but-not-available-through-parts-dealers Seicento technical service manual CD (eBay or there is someone who does them ridiculously cheap on the clubcento forum).

30mn then 90 degrees then 90 degrees.

starting middle front as number 1
middle rear as number 2
left of 1 for 3
right of 1 for 4
right of 2 for 5
left of 2 for 6
left of 3 for 7
left of 6 for8
right of 4 for 9
right of 5 for 10.

Cheers

Re: sporting cylinder head

Before putting the head bolts in make sure that they are dipped in oil and left for 30 minutes dripping and don't re-use the bolts even if people claim it can be done.

Also rather do the initial torqueing down in two stages (20Nm ad 30Nm) and let it settle before you repeat the sequence and finally turn them twice 90 degree.
