Repairing & Fitting a Laguna Splitter?

Whilst searching a scrap yard (G.W.Bridges - a very good one by the way) for a 75 cam and a replacement horn I happened across a Laguna with an intact front splitter.
Having removed it quite simply with it only being attached with staples I am now pondering whether to fit it.
It cost the princely sum of £4 including the horn but is fairly scratched up as one might expect. I've sanded it down and cleaned it to try and improve the situation but need further advice.

I’m aware of part of the trimming process of cutting the top and bottom areas of the corners to get the contours right as well as shortening the ends but will it also need splitting down the middle and re-bonding?
If so what would be the best method? I was thinking of using filler on the scuffs and black plastikote over the top however the splitter is very flexible and bendy so will the filler will most likely crack along with the paint? If so are there any better refurb options?

Finally what is the best method for rejoining the 2 splitter half’s? A section of material possibly behind the splitter to act as a brace? I have a tube of tiger seal and combined with cable ties should be able to then attach it securely to the bumper lip.

If the scratches aren't really deep, you might be able to use plastic filler primer

all the scratches and deep gashes use p38 (stopper). best way to re-attach it when you've cut in half is fibreglass would say plastic repair kit but you wont be able to get one that will hold good enough just off the shelf and theyre very expensive.....
dont think ive seen a laguna splitter on a cinq before sure loads of people have done it before though.
