I own a M reg Cinq (899cc) the red warning light remains on, would you say there is a problem with the CAT? or the Lambda sensor?

I don't know the Cinq at all,
but are you sure the red light is engine management?

Not brakes - low fluid
Not ignition - no charge from alternator

Have a look in the book, if you're lucky enough to have it, just to be sure.

Regards

hi curt
mines an 899cc m reg too
so if you can be a bit more specific on which light i have the book??

If the Cat is bust, it won't make the light come on - it will be a problem with one of the sensors probably. Unfortunately, the best way to suss it out is to get a decent auto electrician to read the fault codes from the ecu. Should pinpoint the fault.

the red light used to come on in my m reg cinqy, i took it to fiat cos they said they read the computer and it tells them whats wrong, the lambda sensor was nacked, the car used to dip in the rev when i used to pull off then kick back.
Mrs Crayon.
Lambda sensor down in swansea is about £ 100 from a garage don't buy if from fiat too expensive.
