Hi

Recently bought 1994 Cinquecento 900c base model,
Love her to bits but she only used to get used a few miles a day and I have done 200 miles in a week!
She is now running horribly, very tappetty, rough (sounds like she's missing but its not leads), no power (2nd gear on some hills)
So I took the rocker cover off as I read on the forum the hydraulic tappets can go, was gonna clean em up and see if that help but when I got the rockers off, noticed the valves were all worn.
Got pics but don't know how to post them!

Please help need to know if they need replacing and whats the best course of action,

Cheers

Hi

I had a similar problem a couple of weeks ago, and the thread should still be on forum, but don't know how to post link!

With the help of Richcinq, we adjusted the tappets, and refilled them with oil, and after setting up timing for valves, the car now runs beautifully.

Are you sure they are worn, and do not just need adjustment?

There are some hydrolic lifters, tappets etc, new on eBay at the mo, look like a great price, if you go by what the seller says.

To attatched pics, when posting, click "manage attachments" click browse and locate a pic, repeat for as many pics as you need, the upload.

Wait a bit and it will upload. Close the window and they will be in cluded in your post.

Not sure if you need to donate to do this....only need to give a few ££ though :)

An alternative is to use http://www.imageshack.us/

They will give you llinks to post on the forum, its free and fast :)
