are they the same between each car? engine wise they are exactly the same but what about the gear stick and gear selection pushrods? need to know as im stuck weather to buy a cinq sporting or for the same money just the bits i need from a seicento?

right...... im converting a 899cc seicento into a 1.1 sporting, all i need to know is, if a cinq uses exactly the same gear stick and pushrods (well push cables) to select gear... it would cost me near enough the same to buy just the engine/box/looms/gearstik ect... from the scrappys then it would to buy a full cinq sporting.

does that make any sense now lol :D

Its the same gearbox on both (Well, Im fairly sure it is)...so it shouldn't matter, as long as its a 1108cc youre getting the bits from

Gotcha. AFAIK, it's essentially the same gearbox: the Cinq is the only one, I think, with the reverse inhibitor cable, but that shouldn't matter. Just fit the lot rather than try a mix n'match.

In fact, buying the complete car is the way to go as there are likely to be differences in all kinds of strange places (I'd guess that the 900 and 1100 would use different driveshafts, for example).

I think you may have problems making the Cinq exhaust and manifold fit on a Sei so budget for getting (at least the) manifold from a scrapper, but........

cheers guys (Y)

the story is... ive recently brought a 1.1i turbo seicento so i took the engine out to go into my 899cc modified seicento, i then need a complete engine/loom/ecu/driveshafts/gearbox ect... to fit back into the doner turbo sei i took the engine out of.

once ive put the engineless turbo sei back to a standard sei then ill have a seicento for sale to get my money back for it or most of it anyways
