(T) Exhaust/Suspension Problem???

Hi,

1st post so I'm not sure if this is even in the correct forum but anyway... I've just bought a '99 Seicento Sporting 1.1 and the problem I'm having is that over the past few days I'm hearing a loud 'clunking'/scraping noise as I'm cornering/going over speed bumps. I'm not sure whether it's a problem with the suspension (but would the problem come on that quick? I've only had it 2 weeks but my stepdads had it since new with no probs) or whether its the exhaust rubbing against the rear axle as I turn? I bought it knowing there was a slight problem with the exhaust, basically its newly fitted and it hasn't been put on tight enough and was rattling. Now its not rattling, but is scraping! Is there an easy way to find out what the problem is? Any help/advice greatly appreciated.

front or rear? (for the noise)
get underneath and give the exhaust a good shake and listen for knocks

Noise is from the rear. Thanks for the advice, I'll try that once it stops raining!
