there is a red exclamation mark that comes on on the dash of the Fiat. Sometimes its only when on hills, although lately it has been appearing when we are doing over 40.

Anyone any ideas? Whats te light for? what does it mean when it comes on?

Erm...Is it a Cinq? What size engine is it?

Sounds like engine management either way...that's never great...:)

Pedal to the metal? ....My Gearbox is on the floor!!!

Mine came on as the brake fluid was low but this was due to the pads been warn and needing replacing so would check ya pads aswell.

Mine came on once in Dec. I was going down a really steep hill on the way to Barnsley (had gravel lanes so very steep) and i noticed the light on so i checked me handbrake and it was down so i pumped the brake pedal and it seemed normal and the light went off never to appear again!

The handbrake light coming on during driving is the brake fluid low sign and a car should not be driven if it comes on without handbrake. It is a standard light and should be learnt before sitting in a car!
