Cinq vacuum pipe problem?

Hi again all

I posted earlier re the misfire which is occurring on my sons Cinq, but the thread seems to have died!

I thought I had solved the problem by cleaning and refitting the vacuum pipe between the ECU and injector.

However, after running fine for a few days, havving returned from a weeks hols where the car had been left standing in the garage, the problem has returned with a vengence, and the car will now not even idle and is hard to start.

I checked the pipe again, and found it had petrol inside. Is that meant to be, as I thought it was an airflow pipe?

There appears to be nothing wrong with the pipe or connections, and any further advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks again for all your help.

http://www.fiatforum.com/cinq-sei-te...rol+map+sensor

remove the vac line and blow out the fuel.
see if it clears it.

if not new map sensor may be the next step

Re: Cinq vacuum pipe problem?

Thanks for the quick reply Custard Boy

Blowing pipe out worked last time round, but does not seem to have any effect this time. Is it worth resetting ECU?

Also, any suggestions where to get MAP sensor?

Thanks
