Do all Bravo discs fit onto a Sei Sporting?... I feel a little case of overkill coming on

UT is the generally excepted method for a rear conversion I believe, I'm more interested to see how easy it is to lockup the rears with 284mm discs up front. I may do it just for looks anyway

Not beam as the cinq retains its rear wishbone setup, just you use the UT rear hubs, caliper mounts and calipers...

thier so hard to get a hold of!! been searching for a few days now, gonna do the rear disk conversion as soon as i get all the parts.
( cosmetic purposes mainly lol!)
so its just hubs, mounts n calipers, which disks are best with this set up? do cinq disks work?

Tell me about it, i looked for a good couple of months before giving up and putting all new standard stuff on. Alex did the same also.

You're probably best off with just standard solids and pads on the rear as you dont want to have too much breaking force on the back or you'll be asking for trouble. You *may* find you need to alter the brake bias valves too if it still locks up on standard stuff.

Lol my mate has a set spare :p Dont think he'd sell though sorry. Any disk the same size but if you're going uprated, get grooved and vented, not drilled as they tend to fracture :( they arent under as much pressure at teh back though, so they prob wouldnt fracture but fronts prob would under harsh conditions

My thought was 240mm rear discs mainly cause it seems to be easier to get the parts for & with 284mm at the front bias shouldn't be a problem

Ok, here's the deal for rear disk conversion on a cento.

Calipers from Uno turbo/Punto Gt (they are the same)
Plate from Uno turbo, fits straight
Disk 228mm from Uno turbo
Hub from Uno turbo

Straight fit, no modifications needed, cento handbrake cable mounts with no problem.

You can also use the 240mm disk (cento's front, Punto GT rear, Alfa 155 rear etc), with same calipers and without changing hub, if you fabricate a custom plate based on the Uno's plate, only the two holes the caliper mounts on have to be 6mm further out.

I have them almost a year now, no probs with the handbrake, no better stopping power, but you can break inside a turn without fearing for the weels to lock unexpectedly. Oh, and far better looks of course...

new stuff? are the parts available???

u can just get vented discs though can you.. if the caliper isnt designed to take them, then they just won't fit - they'd be too wide.

i agree about drilled being a waste of time though. just get grooved.

Hubs and calipers are still available from Fiat, but expensive, its the caliper bracket that is NLA, you these could be quite easily made up tho from any engineering shop if you had the measurments of the originals at hand.

Its luck really with UT rears I got a whole rear beam for £50 delivered to my house as the guy couldn't be bothered removing everything i needed, Emma got hers for £50 as well but we had to travel about 40miles to get the stuff.

Search ebay, search the turbo collective for UTs being broken, even getting the calipers in poor condition at least gives you something to recondition, or exchange for reconditioned calipers from someone like http://www.brakesint.com/shop.html who have them listed, or http://www.biggred.co.uk/ who will recon what you have.

You do not need to change handbrake cable, just re-route it, jamie86 has his all up and running tho it was done when Sam had et hcar, its was completed in about 2 hours including making up new flexy pipes.
