Re: oil filters

i'd say its best to take the filter back and say its the wrong one. They might have another manufacturer in stock if they insist its right but i think if it doesn't fit your car and they sold it as such they'll probably refund it.
You might have a spoting one, your a 899 aren't you?

Re: oil filters

I am using the filter from a Volvo 480, its the same thread, and its shorter. I use a shorter one as I am using an oil cooler sandwhich plate. I have heard of people using the filter from a renault 5 gtt oil filter.

Re: oil filters

got it sorted! went down motorworld when my dad got home from work at half 2, they realised what had happened and ordered me one in specially, a fram or something i just took the orignal down and he cross referenced it, and it was there an hour later! and no extra charge!

so oil change and spark plugs done, and i can feel the difference in the power!

had a few problems with the oil catcher though! dropped the sump plug which blocked the drain hole on the catcher so it all overflowed! oops!

Re: oil filters

Spark plugs dont make power, they can only lose you power.
