Re: help from the turbo boys please

If you have the turbo at hand just measure the intake side of turbo, its not that big TBH, about 40mm at most, as for the angle of the pipe no idea as mine is in silicone and not metal like the one in your picture and is made up of about 3 bits which is rubbish, but havn't got round to getting a single section made up as it would be expensive, or getting a proper metal pipe made up, tho never got round to that either.

Air filter you had was BMC F1, but any decent filter will do, but get a BMC quote as they are expensive if your getting insurance money for the items.

Re: help from the turbo boys please

well i got about 42 guessing 45mm hose will fit. unsure where to get right size pipe, guessing it would be just a 90 degrees turned one though.

You could always ask them the size and tell them what you are after and see if they have anything suitable.

Re: help from the turbo boys please

im right in thinking that the bore for the induction pipe shouldnt be more than 2 and a half inches arent i? making it any bigger would cause a negative effect?

TBH you don't really need the induction pipe to be any bigger than the turbo inlet, 2" is probably about the max you really want to go as this is 50ish.mm so a small reducer will be needed to ensure a tight fit from it to the turbo its self.

What you could do tho is if you have a local s/s exhaust maker they should have pipes or correct size to make up a pipe for you, 1 3/4" is about perferct size, and it shouldn't be betonf them to drill a hole in pipe and weld on a breather pipe rturn for you as well.

Or if you had access to a pipe bender then you could buy this and make up yourself http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1
