Looking at an empty Glass
Just done a 300mile round trip in the Cinq and I am now deaf! much as I like the noise of the Sportex exhaust round town I just can't live with it any longer on the open road. it will be in the classifieds soon.

I am looking at changing it for a CSC (as I have a CSC mid section) has anyone got any experiance of these? are they any good? I was thinking of the Supersprint but I do prefer the oval outlet of the CSC over the round Supersprint. As far as I can gather the performance gains and noise levels are about the same between the two

I've just fitted a Supersprint to the Sporting and it sounds very civilised. I did have to take a welding torch to it though, as the Abarth rear skirt has the exhaust cut-out placed differently from that in a standard Cinq bumper.

The car should be on the road next weekend, still some stuff to sort on it.

The noise levels of the CSC are TUV approved and supposedly are rated @ 74db

When I got the CSC mid section I was very impressed by the quality and finish which is one of these reasons I fancy getting the back box as well as the oval exit

I might have been better calling the tread "has anyone got a CSC exhaust" but I couldn't concentrate at the time for the ringing in my ears from the Sportex

OK never being one to follow convention I have ordered the CSC back box.

Did a bit of surfing and these seem to be well regarded in a number of circles so didn't think it was too bigger risk,

Anyway as no one seems to have one of these and In the spirit of the forum I'll try and document my trials and tribulations when it arrives (might be a while as it has to be shipped direct from Italy) and it is bound to be raining when I have time to fit it.

OK its off the car now

The CSC came yesterday and spent today dodging the rain to fit it so the cinq is now CSC Cat back. What a difference my ears have stopped bleeding.

The CSC is very civalised almost quiet until you get over 4000rpm then it lets out the most wonderful spine tingling howl!!!

The performance it there just the same, if anything the power delivery is a little smoother than with the sportex

I must admit it took some time getting here but it was worth the wait the build quality is very good and it fitted first go with absolutly no messing about and it looks very nice.

For any one in the market for an exhaust and fancies something different to supersprint then this is a viable alternative. You can also get the oval tail pipe as I did and have the benefit of a quieter alternative to a janspeed or sportex with no performance loss

Yeah but where's the oval tipped CSC exhaust in that section... I see a round 80 & a centre mount twin exit but no oval :(
