Re: help with koni suspension

ther adjustable shocks dont adjust height. just the stiffness of the suspention. you need coil overs to adjust the height.

Re: help with koni suspension

you shouldnt use grease or oil on rubber it rots it, washing up liquid is ideal for rubber lube

Re: help with koni suspension

I use a vice, one of many I have, large socket on the end that isn't through, small socket to push it through. Planty of washing up liquid as suggested.

Cheers

Re: help with koni suspension

used your way rallycinq thanks for all the info though guys

quick question so i dont start another thread. did you guy have to cut the spring compressors you used to be able to fit the rear springs?

when i compress mine i cant put them on and the threaded bit on the compressor is too long and stops the arm from coming up to secure

going to cut them tomorrow i think

any other ways around it?

Re: help with koni suspension

Jack up the car, support it with axle stands. Slacken off the top and undo the bottom shocker bolts (hold the nuts, don't turn them), use trolley jack to compress spring from underneath, remove bolt(s), let down the jack, spring will pop out.

Insrtallation is the reverse of removal. Plenty of WD of those shock bolt threads!

Nope, dod of wood (or wid, as we say up here) on the end of the trolley jack, or even piece of rag or foam will save scratching.

Cheers
