| Side Repeater Blows bulb in front Indicator Just bought and installed clear side repeaters(the small ones). tested the one on the passenger side and it works fine. Tried the driver side and it also works fine(flashes faster as does the rear indicator) but it has blown the bulb in the front drivers side indicator. I heard the bulb blow when i turned the ignition on to power. Any advice would be welcome as i will be going to Hellfrauds dinnertime to get a new bulb which i will probably blow again. Is this wiring or bulb problem. The front indicators are also new (clear)

| Re: Side Repeater Blows bulb in front Indicator I had a similar problem which was fixed by disconnecting the ciggy lighter. I havnt reinstalled it as I dont have a use for it. Its really easy to do, just pull the ciggy lighter housing off and disconect the clip to the wiring. Hope that helps. Cheers Rich

Reisistance is to low means nothing to me. Do i top it up with antifreeze?? Please help me more. Does not compute

| custodian of imola blue | Re: Side Repeater Blows bulb in front Indicator It does sound like wiring problem. Assuming the bulb and/or fuse goes pop again, you could either check the wiring with an ohmeter or visually. Compare the "fast" side with another car. If it seems about right, then there will be a fault the other side. A blown fuse could well mean that the wiring is buggered to the point where you're getting a short circuit. Clean all the connectors as best you can and cover them with silicon grease (if you can get hold of any) or vaseline (lubricant of choice for some members of this forum).

| Re: Side Repeater Blows bulb in front Indicator Thanks for the replies. My lack of electrical knowledge has forced me to put the white bulb back in behind the clear indicator cover. All works well. Too scared to put the orange one back in until i get paid.
