Another new post on the forum... :worship: I am the owner of the Seicento Sporting 99 edition, 1.1 Fuel Injection engine. Think I have a problem with air in the system, and was wondering if anyone could tell me the method of bleeding the system, and the location of any parts. Gonna have a look at this afternoon, so anything I can print out as a guide would be most appreciated! Thanks everyone. Keep this forum alive!

Im referring to the coolant system, either drain it or bleed the rad. Im not up on motors. My old man more the expert.

Cheers

Thanks. I take it that is the black wing shaped screw that needs removing? Will do if so. Ill give that a try.

Thanks again

Right cool. Take it the other bleeding valve at the back of the engine is for the heater then? So i'll get the car warm before carrying out this check. Thanks for help so far.:D

Brill. any particular method of working for that process? Read a few posts on the forum regarding leaving the heater on full, but some of the advice conflicts with each other. How would you suggest bleeding both?
:worship:

I normally bleed the main raditor first, and then the heater - but then i go back and check the main rad again after doing that. Thats just with the car ticking over at idle.

Ok thanks. Will give it a go. Just waitin for me old man to turn up, then we try. Will let you know how it goes.

The heater ones is higher up than the radiator one, so do the radiator first then do the heater one. I wouldn't do it with the engine running, and I certainly wouldn't do it with the engine anything above lukewarm.

Cheers

if the engine isnt warm though, then theres no flow to the rad - ive always bled it with the engine running as i thought that would help the air out.

Have bled both parts, no problems had. Not sure if anyone seen my other post, but the engine seems to be running sweet as a nut now. There maybe one thing that someone could help me with, and that is a lead that has come out of its black cable housing, is yellow in colour, very thin, with a small, rectangular pin at the end of it. Seems to have come out of a pipe/connection at the front of the engine, quite low down, drivers side. Not the foggiest what its for...

Have attached 2 pics of the problem. One of the yellow cable, and another where I believe it should go...
