(T) Petrol whiff when turning left hard!

Hi, I filled my tank to first click or so yesterday (£34 phew!) and off I went.

I've had a look underneath and can see a sticker on the tank so it's had the recall. New tanks sound. Rubber round filler caps ok as well.

When I slung the car hard left for a motorway slip road I got the pong of fuel. Passed after a while going straight. Seemed to be coming from the front but difficult to tell. Are there breathers or overflow pipes anywhere? Any ideas tips?

Fuel cap seal, they perish fairly quickly.

I got a replacemtn cap from Fiat for about £5 you use your own barrel, simple job to change, others have been told by Fiat that there is no such product but i did post the part number for it some time ago on here, have a search you may find it.

yeah no worries, can't say for sure its that but stands to reason that if you are cornering hard to the left the fuel rises up the filler neck on the right and leaks past cap, its pretty easy to see if its perished or not.
