Re: A day of highs and lows

I think one of the mods ought to close this thread now. Why did this turn into 4 pages? We all should've just laughed and told him to be more careful/hope you learn from it etc. Not spent four pages verbally attacking his driving. It is not fair and is out of order. All you'll do is push him away from the forum, which I assumed was for everyone, unless I'm mistaken. Well done for taking it back ross_sei, perhaps some others should re-read what they wrote and apologize? By the looks of it he's already learnt not to drive like a **** as it's meant he has to have his tracking done again, 15 or so mins after having it done!

Anyway, Skinz, how bad is the wheel? perhaps getting it refurbed may be cheaper? Depending on the damage you can probably get them repaired for between £15 and £50?

Jon.

I have spare wheels, but I'd rather sell them as a set if you're interested........they've been refurbed

Struugling to stretch to one rim, yet alone buy a whole set of 4 ah well I'll have to make a long search of scrappys.

Well I have definately, thing is I'm starting to think if something like the steering rack or wishbone is broke aswell, might have to just scrap the cinq, quit driving for a while and get a crappy moped losing all desire to even sit in the cinq, its bringing out the worst in me

Re: A day of highs and lows

Found a person scrapping a Cinq Sporting in Bradford which is only 35/40 miles from me and is willing to sell 4 rims for £30. If they are in good condition then I cant go wrong.

Re: A day of highs and lows

Well hope you get it sorted soon.

I haven't seen the other threads, sounds like you've finally figured to take it easy, Its too easy to be over confident once you've passed your test a couple of minor bumps within a short space if time does not bode well..

Thankfully I'm yet to have a fault accident (people just keep driving into the back of me!! The first time was 3 days after I passed my test)

You are at the highest risk of having an accident in the first few months of passing your test (even insurance on a provisional licence is cheaper.) so it pays to take any courses that are available to help improve your driving, and to take it sensible when driving

Did you pass first time?

Re: A day of highs and lows

Nah I passed second time with 4 minors. Something good should come out of this as well. My dad says we'll get the best 5 rims out of the 8 I'll own shotblasted on work account and then we'll refurb them ourselves, so I'll have 4 on the car and a spare alloy in the boot.

Re: A day of highs and lows

I'd have thought it would, the spares 13" and has a higher profile tyre, granted it's not as wide. I can see anyway, I've still got the dirty red steely if an alloy doesn't fit.

Re: A day of highs and lows

I doubt a standard alloy will fit if its put in the same way as the spacesaver - it should fit diameter wise though...........

I tried a 14" in mine today with 185/50 on. Was tight but went in without the aid of large percussion implements
