Might do, but don't wanna take it apart then find out that it wont fit. If no-one knows i'll have a go, but hopefully someone will stop me if they know they don't fit....

could you try your front ones.. upside down? is that possible? then you'd have the nice bit thats been hidden away.. out at the front, and theyd be the same length?

Nice idea, i'll check Haynes and then possibly tomorrow have a go taking the rear ones out and then a front one. Car is off the road at the mo so time isn't a problem.

no you cant turn the reels(correct name?) upside down as i once changed some belts and even having them at an angle caused the mechanism to jam, remember they are for safety first and asthetics last so i would only do the swap if they are the same

Checked today, can't really measure without taking them all off, but Haynes doesn't really recommend p*ssing about with seatbelts due to pre-tensioners.

pre tensioners are in the locking units that you clip into and dont affect the inertia reels so i wouldnt worry to much about it and even if you ever do need to take out the pre tensioners its just a case of putting in a plastic safety clip and then its easy peasy

Right, i'll have a go after the dreaded MOT Friday! A few months hard work fixing some suspected faults comes down to how observant the chap at the MOT Test Centre is [}:)]
