i think youll find its matting with black fabric underneath, soaked in RESIN

its getting smoothed off tomorrow hopefully, and then will be covered in black felt fabric

cant be assed with all the mega sanding to get uber smooth and paint ulthough it would look good

My bad, just doesnt look like it never zoomed on picture. You'll need it at least half an inch thick otherise it will flutter. You're savign yourself alot of wok and money by just covering it. Good plan

half inch thick woah! its like 10mm thick at the mo and i can stand on it i even hit it with a hammer and it didnt do much, its had about £150 worth of fibre on it (mostly because 7.5litres of resin costs like £90 lol) hmmm might have to use every bit of fibre i have left then, i brought 20 packs of the stuff each covers 0.55sq/m shall have to see, i aint running comp subs here just normal ones for good quality sound, although i do like my moddified 15" smiley subs which used to look like this:

sideskirts i got are:

OMG the car when i 1st had it, not bad nick lol

Re: My seicento Project

well 10mm think isnt too far off half an inch another layer and a good layer of resin ontop will be perfect if they arent competition subs. ive seen inch thick fibreglass moulds, and they've cracked the filler coz they've been silly and not used matting, glad you have btw, less resin = stronger fibreglass. Soak the matting and its weak stuff then. I shouldnt give away these tips lol! You stil didnt answer my question whens the 1300 engine going in?

dunno how anyone can use an inch thick of fibreglass paste that stuff weighs a ton compared to matting lol, bet it dropped their car about a inch or 2 lol, will give the install a quick going over with sander then will give it a few more layres of fibreglass just hope the weathers fine tomorrow.

1.3 will be going in once the install has been done and the cars breaking system sorted (one more pipe to replace to goodridge then all done) + when my fecking g-max 40mm kit gets its ass here been over a month waiting for the ****

Re: My seicento Project

I like the wheels (although the rear track looks wider than the front which is a Big Bad) and the mirrors (although they need a bit of work to make em fit right). Don't like the bumpers at all. The rest looks interesting, if a bit fussy.

Re: My seicento Project

hmmmm...... time for a lil update.....

now have nightvision rearview camera with 7" rear view mirror screen, also have now nearly completed boot install..... running 150Amp ANL fuse on 0guage wire with a optima yellowtop in boot using 3farad powercap running 2 amps one 4 channel comp amp and a monoblock.

boot consists of 4 x 8" subs (400watt max each), 2 x 15" (500rms each)

very very loud and sounds crisp, full 5.1 surround sound in my car for when playing DVD's

6x9 and 5" compondents + 4" and tweeters act as high freq, 8" as mid range and 15's as low level bass

because the car is so sound proofed the roof and sunroof flexes and boot lid bounces up and down.

pics:

i also have a 15" flip down screen and blue neons in the rear head handles looks the dogs ******** at night with all the crome and blue lightage.

prob is i got a leak on my rear boot seal now the bass has damaged it
