| RIP L181 VBB | Debadging...And Then Rebadging I am gonna finally get round to debadging the sei today, ive got the sticky for that to assist, sounds not too much of a problem I plan to re-badge one of the badges in a different loacation on my boot. Is there a special type of glue/product which i would need to use?

Nooooooo!!! sikaflex is far to harsh it`s only a badge on a car ,you`ll never be able to get it off if you ever want to remove the badges again. Go to halfords and buy the trim repair tape,Its a thin black double sided tape, About £4.00 Cheers Adrian

Done the debadging, looks well mean now, cant believe i didnt do it ages ago! Everything came off quick, hardly any glue left, and the little bits of glue that were left came off pretty easily. The only downside is the badge i wanted to keep, i sadly snapped but it was in poorer condition than i thought so i am not too disheartened. Got 3 badges to flog on ebay now. Any takers? ![]()

| umop apisdn | Re: Debadging...And Then Rebadging Firstly, Sikaflex is a very broad term, they make dozens of grades of adhesive, which as mentioned, most would rip your paint off the car, and they also make several grades of sealer. If you were going to use Sikaflex i would recomend using the sealer. But if i was doing it then proper trim tape would be what i would use, as i happen to have a roll, its very clean and its very thin. Always best to use the right product or tool for the right job.
