My cinqy sporting is making a nasty noise. It coes from the front passenger wheel area. It causes the car to rumble and vibrate when accelerating and just grates the rest of the time. Anyone got any ideas? It has been suggested that it could be a gearbox mounting (but i can't see it myself as the clutch has just been replaced and checked by a clutch clinic and they would have noticed hopefully). The other thought is the CV joint but this would be unusual for a Cinq wouldn't it? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

sounds just like the problem i had.
found out it was the engine mount on the gear box, it was totaly broke! so had a new one fitted and all back to health
id check that out if i was u mate

actually thinking about it, also good call
if you have a peek its normally pretty obvious if its the rear gbox mount as if so it normally looks all perished etc
