Ok guys, just finished off the rear discs on the cinq (well my mate jon did)
Started with uno turbo hubs, calipers, caliper mounts, discs and pads.
Everything was a straight swap, a diff brake line needed making up to connect to the caliper either side.
Also the handbrake cable needed modifing as it wasnt long enough on one side. The handbrake cable doesnt appear to be long enough if fitted through the original brackets going under the car so it has to be trailed under the tank (if that makes sense)
the handbrake holds rock solid and braking seems to be more efficent.
will get pics up asap

Re: Finished rear Discs

ill try and answer as best i can mate,
basically the pipe which went from the drum (the last 15 cm or so needs replacing) as the calipermoves or something. John said if a solid line was connected (the one which is on the drum originally) after time it might pop off as the caliper moves

Re: As promised, rear disc pics

cheers mate, as i said before the handbrake is outstanding now!!!!
it works amazingly well

Re: As promised, rear disc pics

just think i should exaplin, the last 2 pics shows the brake pipe which needs to be made up and connected, the second pic shows the original cinq handbrake cable connected. unfortunatly it does not route the same as the cable is not long enough.

Re: As promised, rear disc pics

Taken from an uno turbo and wasnt very expensive although sourcing the parts was a lil tricky
the actual conversion was easy really, (althought all the credit goes to john fron jon dell motorsports) who did the actual conversion, made up the braided lines and modified the handbrake cable.

Re: As promised, rear disc pics

nice job mate, looks good.

Would fitting uno turbo rear hubs to a cinq make any difference in the raer track of the car and does the wheel sit further away or closer to the rear suspension arm?

Thanks

David
