After peoples thoughts.

Took our Sei to a festival recently and caught the exhaust on an section of temporary road, Unfortunately this has cracked and stretched the flexi on the Manicat about 5 inches. Really annoying as the exhaust was sounding lovely and nicely sorted.

I HATE the manicat and the fact it makes the front of the car difficult to access for tinkering.

I'm thinking its a good opportunity to fit a John Ashley 1242 manifold and sportscat for a bit more than a new Manicat. Which could then be used on a 1242 one day...

Or I could get a custom mid section made up at a local exhaust place as its tiny diameter - and this would be less money.

The car has a Janspeed back box which is great.

1242 mani would hang too low on an 1108 and you've got more chance of smashing it

Orr you could give me some beer tokens and a trip to birmingham and have my old manicat that's just taking space in my garden

Cheers man. I was looking at exhaust parts last night and I think the flexi might not be party of the manicat after all... in which case I'll probably just fit a new centre section.

I also did some reading about the ja manifolds and it sounds like they are not ideal. As you say. The length and radiator clearance issues.

Unless they have refined it's design?? You would think they would sell more for 8v seicentos than 8v puntos...

I just had to replace the cat on our grand scenic because the flexi was broken so i feared the worst when i looked under the seicento. But Fiat do it right!

I would love a ss manifold!

I wish i could get that ss manifold but i've got a few cars that need a little work currently including the x19 so alas iv decided to just fit a new centre pipe. Lucky its seperate to the cat as I just replaced the cat on our grand scenic - which now has an evil wiring fault! ?

I'd rather have a multipla
