Just got my little Seicento and I love her. I have sorted out the usual niggles such as brakes, boot light & headlights however she has now started overheating. The 'I have overheated' light (!) came on accompanied by clouds of steam. Topped her up & drove home carefully. The fan spins freely so is not seized however it seems to have a 14vdc supply to it when I would expect 12vdc? The thermostat works as the top hoses go hot & water goes back to the expansion tank however I flushed it through anyway. I disconnected the green plug by the inlet manifold & linked it out but instead of putting on the temperature light I got the EML & error P0115 engine coolant temperature?
In short is there another sensor/plug that controls the indicator lamp & possibly runs the fan?
Is 14vdc the correct voltage for the fan & if so is the fan then dead?
Can the fan be removed with radiator & bumper insitu?
Thanks in advance!!
