Hi peps got me another abarth as a bit of a side project and the sun roof is leaking like a beauty found it to be a blocked drain, now as putting the sun roof back on and winding it closed I still have a 5mm lift in the middle and sitting flush on the ends of the sunroof, I am going to replace the sunroof as a bit rusty any ideas why it would sit like this tryed fitting 2 or 3 times still no joy, any help would be great 1498077960492.jpeg

Hi.
I had a similar problem on my Seicento. In my case the plastic mechanism that supports the sunroof as you turn the wheel inside to raise the glass was broken. Not immediately clear since it still went up and down but just would not tighten to pull down and close completely.
Whip out the glass, remove the extending tower part that is fixed to he inside hand wheel (4 big screws) and have a poke around down the hole inside the mechanism when you get it alert. There is a little metal ring that holds the 2 extending parts together. I have had 2 break now. The ring is fine but the plastic that it fits over comes apart and then when you turn the wheel to tighten the roof panel down you just end up unscrewing the mechanism instead!
I hope that helps

Ian
