I've just replaced my oil/sump pan, filled with fresh oil, started, and the engine made the noise in the video attached

Anyone come across this before? Or any ideas what it could be

Thanks

There's no video attached .... Not that I can see anyway.

It's difficult to see how the sump can be making a noise .. and what sort of noise is it?

It may be worth your while removing the pan to have a look inside/refitting it... The only noises which spring to mind ... you've left/dropped something in the oil pan and it's being struck by a big end, or it's not fitted properly/misaligned and the lip is catching/pressing against something at either end.

Just as an afterthought ... are you absolutely positive that the noise is coming from the sump area?

It is easy to damage the oil pick up pipe when removing or replacing the sump. If you bend it, it may hit the crankshaft. It may also suck air, causing low or no oil pressure, which will damage every moving part in the engine.

Are you sure sump was identical? Wrong shape or dimensions may cause it to be hit by crankshaft.
