Hello I have a seicento sporting 1.1 spi and the cable from Temperature Sensor on Cylinder Head isn't connected anywhere.
Anyone knows where i must connect it?
Somewhere to the instruments or to the ecu?

And the temperature led in the instrument from where it takes orders to turn on? The only other temperature sensor is in the radiator for the fans.

are you saying that the temperature sender is connected to the loom but nothing is happening on the dashboard?

Do you have a temperature gauge? All the Seis I have seen only have a 'too late' light that illuminates only when overheating occurs.

There is a sensor in the cylinder head with a wire going into the car but not connected anywhere to the instruments. I don't know if the "to late led" works. The wire is thicker than those in the 3 main instrument connectors.

The grey cable that comes seperate from the others in first photo is the one is connected to the sensor

It's a different engine.. but if it's any help, here are a couple of photos of a 900 Cinq engine.

The temperature sender - what sends a signal to the dashboard gauge, is on the left when you look at the engine with open bonnet.
The temperature sensor unit which is part of the management system is on the right and part of the thermostat unit.

That grey cable is not a standard fitting.

I wonder whether your car has had a temp gauge fitted at some time previously.

Refer to the wiring diagram in the manual (available on the site) to re-instate your light.

I think the switch might have been changed to a temp sender.

You can try this by using a powered bulb and see if it gets brighter the warmer the engine gets.

It's very easy to check is it working or not. Just shortcut the sensor to the ground and "too late" indicator should appear. There is just a bimetal switch inside this sensor which start working at 120oC, nothing more. The injection system reads another temperature sensor on the termostat.
