Hi I have some rear calipers ,discs, pads and handbrake cable to do a rear brake conversion to my cinq but would like to know what car they are from and What I would need to upgrade upfront to accommodate these. Many thanks. IMG_1489525833.835983.jpgIMG_1489525850.696359.jpg

Thanks Steve if that's the case do you know what size discs or calipers would be needed up front for me to use on my cinq.

I would think it would depend on what size wheels you are using , standards are 14 s on the gt and the calipers are very close to the wheel , sure some one has done it before on here [emoji1303]

my my experiences messing with centos i'd not bother doing rear discs unless you are tracking the car regularly. I've had loads of combos of brakes and think best I've had a Punto GT3 fronts and well serviced stock rears. Need 14s on to clear GT fronts generally speaking, very few wheels in 13 will fit, well i know of one wheel that does and never heard of any other 13s fitting ever.

I have discs on the rear of mine, but I also have a balance bar twin master cylinder set up.
Therefore I have been able to adjust the master cylinder size to suit the calipers.
If you don't do anything with the pedal box you will have an immensely long pedal.

The centos are so light at the back you do not need discs, I autotest mine so find it helpful.

Get your existing rear set up working properly and you'll be amazed how good they are.

Thanks for the help identifying the rear calipers and helpful advice that has been given.
Now I know that they are from a punto gt
What would be involved in fitting these rear calipers and what type of front calipers and discs would be required up front and is there anything else that would need upgrading other than the hoses?.
I am happy with my current set up and am running 14" speed lines and this is for future reference if I do decide to go ahead with the upgrade. Cheers.

Thanks for the info.
I have the carriers ,adaptor plates solid discs pads and handbrake cable. What replacements would you suggest for the front calipers and discs

Tried rear disc conversion for mine with (More than enough) Bravo 16v non vented up front.
Problems at MOT with lack of power to rear.
Stick with drums.
If you still want rear discs, you will have to replace the two rear compensator valves with adjustable bias ones and live with long pedal travel.

thought about it, never got round to seeing if any actually just bolt up to the servo... If i was building a track toy i would defo go that far but for a road car could never see point.

I've ordered a Punto GT cylinder through work so I'll compare them and see what they are like but don't think it's going to fit.

A pedal box is definitely best option in the future. Chance to switch to hydraulic clutch and not worry about clutch cables again!
