Hi there,
I bought an 899cc Cinquecento 1998 spec(seicento indicator stalks) and the owner gave me European spec guages with Km/h and Temperature instead of the tire pressure diagram. I've installed the gauges and everything works and lights up but the temperature gauge doesnt work.
All the pins on the 3 clips that attach to the back are there and it doesnt look like there's anything missing. Is it possible to get it to work?
Its a genuine part, brand new.

The temperature sensor on the cylinder head will also be different.
You need the variable resistor type for a gauge instead of the thermal switch type that the light uses.

Thanks for your reply David! I'll start looking for the correct sensor(if someone knows the part number by chance it'd be much appreciated). Out of curiosity, could it also be the one on the thermostat? when I went to buy a new thermostat the gent gave me 2 thermostats, exact same part number on both but with the threads for the temp sensor being too small on one of them.
Thanks again :)

i wouldnt mind knowing this too. i bought a new sensor for my spoorting and it turned out to be the switch type.

No the sensor for the gauge or light is on the opposite end of the cylinder head.
The sensor on the thermostat is for the ECU.
