Hello buddies, today I'm hitting the problem I have in my car since I bought it. The problem is:
- idle's at 1krpm
- whenever I pull the throttle full down, he gives me no power until I lift some of the throttle. Example: whenever I'm going 2nd gear or 3rd, and I'm going like 1200rpm, I hit the full throttle and he just lose power, but If I immediately lift a bit of the throttle, he climbs.
- and the idle is irregular like, he's always between 500 and 1200 on his own.
- and whenever I change gear, instead of dropping to 900rpm, he drops to like 300rpm and sometimes the engine just dies.

So this is it guys, idk, any idea or help?
Btw, it's a 1.1 sporting.

Sounds like either an air leak (one of the vacuum hoses)

Could be idle control valve.. these usually make the engine 'hunt' between low and high revs

Could also be a lambda sensor..

Could be map sensor as well..

These are all options.. id start with the air leak.. check the map sensor hose.. the brake servo hose and the pipes on the back of the throttlebody for cracks.. splits or if they have just popped off.. if those are good id look into replacing the idle control valve

When I bought my car, it came with a mushroom like air filter .. I have a friend that has a cinq, in a fairly condition, meaning it's all original under the hood, he has a punto ECU (at least it's written there) but the difference is so noticible. It's like another car.

Anyway, I can take pictures of the engine bay if needed, but vacuum hoses are all miss placed, tapped with things. Is it possible that someone shows me where to connect all of them? I know that the vacuum from the servo it's linked, but the pipe itself is like smashed, like when grab tight and you squish it? And If I pull the pipe towards the engine it's starts loosing air?? I know that its audible. Idk, my car is too messed up, it was from a drug dealer, car is so f***ed up. I want to restore it and then mod it. But first I need to make things right. The engine it's not that messed up from what I can tell, I mean the internals.
