hi.

recently bought another cinq sporting, its done 55k, been in a garage since the owners sister drove into a tree.

ive changed the wing and the door as they were a bit bent and dented.

also changed the crank sensor (was a mission to get out the old one)

turns over, sparks but no fuel and the fuel pump does not prime.

have changed the fuel pump for another that works, works with 12v to it from a donor battery just to test the pump.

checked for 12v on the purple wire, reads 12v when turning on the ignition. also the green wire reads 0.00 when testing on ohms (or is it the other way round with the colours, cant remember?).

cleaned the contacts to the pump.

changed the fuel filter.

checked the relay 20a fuse,thats fine.

ive changed the fuel relay over from my other cinq, made no difference.

ive tried switching the fuel cutoff switch, made no difference, taken the switch off.

how do you reset the switch or bypass it?

any other ideas, i am stumped.

So you have 12v to the pump with ignition on and the pump doesn't run? Is that right?

Cut of switch is on the earth side so it interrupts the earth. Put cable to earth.

If you have 12v to the pump then it must be the earth thats not completing the circuit. Attach the cable to a suitable earthing point.

You mention it was crashed, have you checked the fuel cut-off reset switch under the dash? If it's been tripped, you can just push the button back in, and all should be well
