First of all I'm glad to be a new member of the Fiat Forum and look forward to talking all things Fiat in the future.

I urgently need help with my Fiat Seicento Sporting 1.1. This morning refused to start up after numerous tries. I initially thought it had something to do with the recent cold spell so used jumper cables to try get it started...nothing. It is turning over but not firing up. All lights are fully lit on ignition and don't dim. Headlights / side lights aren't dimming.

There was no solid warning light but thought I would connect the OBD Scanner today and got the following codes:

P0300
U1600
P0335

Have checked spark plugs and cables and they are relatively new and in good condition (only had the car since May this year) It's only done just over 20,000 miles and has been well kept (51 plate)

Does anyone know what could be causing this? The car didn't cost much but has been super reliable previous to all this. (twice to Skye and back home, and once to Durham and back)

The U1600 code is 'key not recognised or loose connection' so guessing it's an immobiliser fault, have you tried a spare key?
