Hi

I'm trying to solve why my seicento makes an awful noise in reverse and the passenger wheel jumps a bit too. I jacked it up but couldn't see any excessive play in steering or ball joints and the driveshaft looked ok.
The photo is of the engine mount under the gearbox - does that oook ok

Any suggestions welcome!

Thanks

Paul

Well - that's AN engine mount..

could explain drumming on the floorpan..,

BUT - the left wheel.. I'd check the wishbones 1st..

 put a wheel brace on the LH wheel bolt heads , put pressure on them to rock back and forth , just a fraction..
( as if tightening - then undoing..)

does the wheel wriggle about in the arch..??

did this on my panda .. the wishbone rubbers had collapsed - and the wheel move LOTS in the arch..

funnily enuff the handling was far more predictable after..!!
