Hi all.
I'm looking at a original 1999 Sei Abarth early Saturday morning. I already know about various issues as the seller seems pretty genuine.
But if anyone can give me any heads up abouts know issues please let me know.
Ta.

Rear bumper brackets and boot floor / very top of the rear inner arches.

I look out for original dealer number plates. Often shows wether the cars been in any minor biffs.

Great I'll have a good poke about. I know already I'm gonna have to do the core plug behind the flywheel as he says it's leaking, will do the rear main oil seal at the as me time.
Various other bits he's said too but it will keep me busy/out of the wife's way for a few weeks. Win win in my eyes.

I'v not had any core plugs go on a fire engine. Might indicate its not had coolant in the system for a long time, at some point in the past. But they are getting on now these cars...

Yeah. I'll do a full flush and 50/50 refill. I've already got the core plug on hold at my Fiat dealer, £5 bargain. But I asked about the rear main oil seal and he quoted £36!!
Available on flea bay or other factors for anything from £9-£14.

Plus needs a starter, drivers seat frame weld/repair, door lock one side not working.
More than happy to walk away if it's not what I want or too much of a money pit.

It looks tidy so hopefully it'll be good. I'll post pics as, when or if it's added to the project list.

Rare to get a bargain from a fiat dealer parts desk. Surprised you didn't have to buy 10 core plugs! ...

Sounds like it should be cheap. I paid 600 for mine but it was very clean and tidy. It still needed a bit of servicing and general repairs.
