hello. ive recently changed the water pump on the 1108 sporting but ive noticed i have 1 maybe 2 leaks in the block, seem to be around the top of the coreplug area just below the manifold.
any idea how to fix it? ive tried jb weld, didnt do anything. can i mig weld it, is k seal any good, or is there a make of liquid metal?
any info would be great, im a bit stumped.

looks like both core plugs in the photo weeping to me. The orange staining is a give away. Has probably been lacking antifreeze/coolant? This stops the internals rusting...

Also check inlet manifold is not leaking as it has a coolant passage. But my money is on the core plugs.

thats what i thought purf. ive bought some new core plugs, hopefully get time wednesday to swap them over.
do you mean check the inlet manifold coolant hose area for the leak?

The core plugs should be a very tight fit. Find a socket or similar that just fits inside them to use as a drift. They can be sealed with a 'setting' sealant, just a smear around the edge. Wait whatever time the sealant advises before refilling with fresh coolant.

Where the inlet manifold bolts onto the head there is a waterway. It will probably be ok though.
