I have a 899 that I have striped out the interior and using as a fun toy I want to lower and stiffen it but my dilemer is, now I have stripped it out its left the back end extremely high and it would seam I need 35-40mm lower on the front but 70-80mm to bring the back down level??

Does anyone have any experience with lowering stripped out seicentos?

Are lowering springs designed so that the weight of the car will give the right sag in the spring to achieve the ride height or are the stiff enough the the cars weight doesn't really affect the ride height ??

Any help would be much appreciated

Hi, I have a stripped out Cinq that I use for Sprints & Hillclimbs.
When it was still roadworthy before it became a competition car I had Spax lowering springs all round but when I stripped out the interior the ride hieght did increase as yours has done, I now run shortened standard Cinq Sporting springs which seem to be fine.
One problem I have found is that the design of the Cinq rear suspension gains too much negative camber for high speed track use as you lower the car, couple this with the weight loss and the rear end handling get a bit "twitchy".

Thanks for you reply, when you say shortened standard sporting springs do you mean a standard off the shelf sporting spring or a sporting Spring that has been modified/cut etc ??
