Hi guys yesterday my car was driving fine, i pulled into a garage for petrol when i came out the car wont start, so far iv changed timing belt/tensioner, tried two different new crank position sensors and still nothing, the fuel pump is priming but the car has no spark anybody any ideas? I really need it sorted for getting to work :bang:

I bet your immediate thought was "Argh I've filled with diesel !"

Sorry , i don't know why no sparks ..coil packs?

When you say it has fuel... Have you disconnected the fuel pipe from the injector and seen that petrol is pulsing out when you crank the engine? Or do you mean you just have petrol in the tank?

If petrol is coming out at the fuel pipe (it should pulse when you crank the engine) but the sparks have disappeared, then it's the coil pack or the wiring to the coil pack.

If you have neither sparks or fuel then it's the crank sensor.

If you have no fuel but sparks then it's the fuel shut-off (if Sei's have them) or the fuel pump..

Why did you change the timing belt, if you had no sparks? Seems a bit random.. :D

I dont think its coil packs as there is two coil packs and neither is producing spark (n)

Is your code light coming on and going off again? Have any of the earth leads been detached?

ok so i thought i had it sorted, I went out and bought a second hand ecu, code box antenna and doner car key, the car was started drove and turned on/off maybe 10 times and drove maybe 40miles,
However the problem has started all over again with the keycode light not turning off and the car not starting again.

I think the car may have blown the new (scrappy bought) ecu or codebox, would there be a possible fault that would cause this??

earths on the car have not been touched
