Are they made of chocolate? I've spent a few hours today drilling and grinding them because when I took them off my donor car every bolt but one just snapped with barely any force. I need to put new bottom arms (which I already bought new) on my daily so I thought I'd strip my donor and see which bits were better to fit. Anti roll bar is in better nick than mine so I'll be using that. But now I'm expecting the brackets to be a similar story on my daily, so I started calling motor factors for new ones but I can't find them, then when I did online I thought they were too much, especially since the same thing will probably happen if I need to change anything in that area in the future. So my solution was to drill out the snapped bolts, make a new thread and use new bolts in the middle, then for the outer bolts drill a hole and grind the back off then use a bolt with a bit of weld. I'm just intrigued to see if anyone has had this problem and how they dealt with it? Did you have to buy new or did you come up with a better solution? I'm almost finished now so I'm asking a bit late but if there is a better way I'm open to suggestions!

its a pretty common problem. I only had one bolt that snapped on my previous cinqs. I guess they are just old... and thebolts are not very good quality.

Perhaps someone had over tightened them previously and stretched them?

I can't suggest a better solution though

Yeah I've got them finished today anyway and the way I've done it they should outlast the car. Gonna generously apply some grease in key areas just to protect a bit incase they do need to come off again in the future for any reason but I'm putting in poly bushes so it should last.
