Hi, I am fairly new to this forum as its normally my X1/9 that has me pulling my hair out, as my seicento sporting has generally been less troublesome (apart from the time the silencer fell off on the first day of a fortnight's camping holiday....)

However, I managed to shatter one of the alloys, and rather than pay FIAT's daft prices for a replacement wheel that just looks like a hubcap, I located a set of 13" 100pcd Smith's rims off a Punto. They'll fit with wobbly bolts, but I obviously need spacers both front and rear. I tried 5mm spacers on the front, but they still seemed to be fouling the steering arms. If I go to 10mm on the fronts, will this mean I need to get the lips of the arches rolled back? Do the plastic arch inserts need to be modified too? and can I stick with 5mm spacers on the rear? Also, once I go to 10mm, this extends beyond the hub-centric. Is there a type of spacer that extends this central mounting ring as well?

Also, what sort of costs are involved? Maybe I should just see if I can get a set of cinque 4-spokes from a scrapyard :)

Thanks in advance, If anyone has queries about Strada 1500 engines I might be able to help in return!

Got the offset details now: it is ET38, which essentially means a 10 mil spacer will be needed. When I have offered up "universal" spacers before, I have noticed that there is a nut that prevents them fitting on. While I can have a go at the spacers with a drill, I'd prefer it if I could get ones specifically made for the seicento, particularly as I'm going to have to go for the hubcentric option. Anyone have a recommended manufacturer? I need to have my car driveable ASAP, as currently reduced to borrowing the girlf's F-reg fiesta [V]

Take the small long nut out, says so in the Handbook :). I believe its only a guide nut for the steel rims as they have the hole for this.

fixit - can you confirm that?

Shopping List:

-40mm Lowing Springs
Cadamuro Rear Spoiler
Window Tints
Scrapped 1.2 Punto

Cinq's and Seis have a 3mm spacer fitted to the front, best bet is to get 13mm spacers for the front if you need 10 and take the standard ones off (if that makes any sense?). Prob you may find is the disc turning and not letting the holes line up when you try to fit your new wheels though.

Pete.

Sounds like the best bet. I could avoid the problem of the disc turning by cutting the head off of a wheelbolt, cutting a groove in it to act as a screw head, and using it as a locating stud?
