Hi everyone. I'm stripping out my interior to clean it all up. I've got the front passenger seat out, I'm following the guide by Phil Weaver, but I'm stuck. I can't work out how to get the adjuster and plastic housing off. There is one screw but nothing else that I have access to.

Has anyone been successful in getting the seat cushion/cover off? If so, advice would be greatly appreciated.

And just to note, the cover and foam will not just pull out without the expected damage of over forcing them.

Sussed it. Pry bar and persuasion.

The passenger cushion is in mediocre condition which is to be expected with tears in various places. I'm going to try using carpet glue in a discreet place and see if it effects a good repair.

Just to note, the carpet glue worked a treat. You have to give it a good spray and it is very sticky/tacky so if you get it on anything other than that which you intended than you're going to have a job getting it off.

After I sprayed the glue where I needed it, I wrapped the foam in a nylon strap to keep it compressed and left it over night to set.

If you do decide to strip your seats, take LOTS of pictures to record where everything was. It's a bit of an art getting them back together. I reused the Hog rings. Open them up with a pair of long nose pliars. Better if you have two pairs of long nose pliars, that way you can use one to hold them in place when you rebuild and the other to compress them.

*Quite why the pictures are upside down is beyond me!
