Hi everyone,

First post so any help would be grateful for I have a Fiat Seicento recently driving my clutch linkage rod snapped. I found a replacement part for the car and have fitted it. But now the problem is i cannot press the clutch pedal down and i don't want to put too much effort into it as i don't wanna snap the linkeage or worse. I have adjusted the clutch to no joy it is still stiff as. Below i will put a picture of the part i changed.

Thanks in advance for any help given i appreciate it!

It's a widely said thing with centos if one part of the cluch goes it's best to change the whole lot as the cluch is usually on its last legs

Thank you, I'll replace the whole clutch and pray it does the trick! thanks for the reply

Check the rod.. if the clutch pedal is now solid, you must have fitted it incorrectly..?

I don't know the part but could you have put it on back to front, for example?

Don't bother changing the whole clutch until you have fixed the clutch pedal and got that working.

Afterwards, if the clutch is remotely heavy then put a new one in if you think it's worthwhile.. but change the quadrant and cable at the same time (clutch will be fixed forever then).

Hi.
On my Seicento sporting the end of the clutch crossbar from the pedal on the right to the quadrant on the left was the issue, the end was twisting off. I replaced the quadrant too after reading posts on the forum but as a Fiat newbie myself I found it a total pig to do.
One thing that I did was change the standard cluch cable for a special version made by Ricambio in Wallington, Surrey. They have swapped the quadrant end that seems to be weak for a ring that does not break. I found 3 broken ends under my carpet so probably a good mod
