Hi everyone i dunno if i put this in the right place so hope it okay?

Anyways

Well yesterday i found out i have a fuel leak on my Fiat Seicento Sporting 1.1 ? so i dont know if anyone got one going cheap or could tell me the best place to get a cheap tank from

Thanks Leanne ??

I got my cinquecento tank from Euro car parts. Cost less than £40 and they had it in stock

So do the cinq one fit the sei?
It's not exactly the same.... but why not just buy a Seicento one
There are two designs of Seicento fuel tanks -a SPI version which has a bracket for the fuel filter, & a MPI version which hasn't.
You need to know which car you have: SPI or MPI (MPI are generally built from about 2000 onwards). If you have a SPI you need a SPI tank But if you have a MPI you can use either tank & the SPI tanks are often cheaper (y)

I am going buy a new seicento fuel tank, i just asked if they was the same because i know someone breaking a cinq you see

Ideally you need a ramp to do the job but you can manage off axle stands
mine is Mpi and i found it impossible to remove the fuel pump from inside the tank without dismantling it into pieces through the hole - not easy
you dont need an owners manual to do it as its obvious what you need to do just from looking at it
take your time undoing the mounting bolts as they can break from corrosion
i had to drill a couple out and use new nuts and bolts

Haha cheers mate im okay then because my Dad has a ramp lol

But yea i know the pump isnt easy to get out the tank because i had to replace mine about a year ago now plus it likes making a noise sometimes when the fuel gets low so im forever cleaning the little filter inside the pump lol

I wouldn't even waste your time with a second hand tank unless it's only a couple of years old and free.

If you have to keep cleaning the pump filter, chances are the corossion inside the tank is prertty bad and the pump may need replacing.

Not trying to sell a tank but I have a genuine fuel tank left over from chalky. Was brand new and only used for about 2-3k miles at the most. Completely clean still.

Don't need it and will throw the fuel pump and filler in as well.

PM me if you're interested.

Thanks

X
