Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone can help with a problem of mine.
My 0.9L seicento stalls intermittently when the clutch is depressed. It seems to mainly do this when travelling uphill. I have swapped the fuel mapping system, the pipe leading from the field mapping system to the injector body and the fuel pump (though for a different reason).
I've had this problem since about May, and I can't think of what else to try. The engine runs absolutely fine, very smooth and quiet, though i think the ignition seems to just take a second longer than normal to start up, although that could just be me being overly suspicious of my car now.

Have you checked that the oil breather pipes are clear?
Both the big one to the main intake pipe and the tiny one that attaches to the throttle-body below the butterfly.

When the butterfly is closed it pulls air through that tiny breather hose. If that is blocked, it can stall before the idle control can catch it.

Thanks for the quick reply, I did check the smaller hose previously, and it seemed clear then, but I'll give it a more thorough inspection this weekend, when the weather clears up. I'll take the main pipe off and clean it through with paraffin, to see if that makes any difference either.

Ok, so I have fixed the problem now. After a bit more research, I found that a few people were having similar problems, which were resolved by replacing the crank sensor. I took mine off, which was thick with grease/dirt, cleaned it, and now my seicento runs as good as new again.
